Today was one of those days.The kind women don’t

Today was one of those days.The kind women don’t glamorize. The kind we push through quietly.First day of my cycle and my body made sure I felt it. Deep cramps that wrap around your lower stomach. That heavy, dull ache in the back. The headache that sits right behind the eyes. The kind of pain that humbles you and forces you to slow down whether you want to or not.Usually, day one takes me down. And today was no different.I worked until noon. Showed up. Answered emails. Handled what I could. But by early afternoon my body was whispering, then demanding rest.I had to cancel my flight and move it to tomorrow. Traveling while bleeding and in pain is always a challenge for me. There’s something about airports, long sits, and cramping that feels like running a marathon while carrying a secret storm inside you.So instead of pushing through, I chose to listen.I stayed in bed with my Glow Light by SaunaSpace @saunaspace by my side , reading, breathing, letting the red light wrap around my stomach and lower back. The warmth, the grounding glow I can’t even explain how much it helped my cramps and that deep “moon” ache. It softened the edges of the pain. It gave my nervous system something calm to hold onto.There’s so much power in honoring your cycle instead of fighting it.Women carry so much ..businesses, children, relationships, responsibilities with the household and still bleed every month. And sometimes we don’t talk about how hard that first day can be.Today wasn’t about productivity.It was about permission.Permission to rest.Permission to reschedule.Permission to choose my body over my calendar.If you’re in your moon right now and hurting you’re not weak. You’re cyclical. You’re powerful. And sometimes power looks like a canceled flight and a red glow in a quiet room.Tomorrow, I’ll travel.Today, I heal.
