Brno Street Style: Menswear, Bermuda Denim & a Pop of Red

There’s something different about getting dressed in the city where you come from.

I shot this look in Brno, Czech Republic, right in the historic city center….a place filled with cobblestone streets, beautiful old architecture, cafés, markets and layers of history. It’s the kind of backdrop that doesn’t need a set designer. The city already tells a story.

And for me, fashion has always been about exactly that: telling a story through what you wear.

The Look

Relaxed Menswear With a Feminine Edge

For this outfit, I wanted to play with proportion and the ongoing shift toward relaxed, borrowed-from-the-boys dressing.

I started with an oversized natural linen blazer, layered over a vintage blue-and-white striped shirt. Instead of styling it traditionally, I cropped and loosened the proportions and added an unexpected accessory: a bright red men’s necktie.

That little flash of red completely makes the outfit.

The tie brings a strong menswear reference into the look, but against bare legs, denim and heels, it feels playful rather than corporate. It’s polished, slightly rebellious and very much in the direction fashion is moving for Fall/Winter 2026.

Think: I borrowed his tie…but made it fashion. 😉

The Denim Edit

Bermuda Shorts Are Staying

The other key piece is the denim Bermuda short.

Longer denim has become such a good alternative to the tiny cutoffs we’ve seen for years. The knee-skimming proportion instantly feels more directional and gives you so many styling possibilities.

For transitional weather, I love Bermuda denim with oversized tailoring and boots. As temperatures drop, the same idea works with tights, loafers, tall boots, leather jackets and heavier knits.

The contrast is what makes it interesting: casual denim + structured tailoring + a sexy boot.

The Accessories

I paired it with Isabel Marant leather ankle booties in a neutral taupe tone. I love how the pointed toe and block heel elevate the Bermuda shorts without making the outfit feel overly dressed.

The warm cognac and taupe accessories also soften the blue denim, striped shirt and linen blazer, allowing that red tie to remain the hero.

The Styling

Why This Combination Works

The entire outfit is really a study in contrasts:

Masculine tailoring. Feminine styling. Vintage stripes. Oversized linen. Long denim. Polished leather. And one unapologetically bright red tie.

Nothing matches too perfectly and that’s exactly why it works.

For Fall/Winter 2026, I’m especially drawn to styling that feels individual rather than overly coordinated. A men’s accessory with a feminine silhouette. Summer-weight linen carried into transitional dressing. Denim worn with something sophisticated. Pieces that look as though they were collected rather than purchased as one complete outfit.

That is much more interesting to me than simply following a trend head to toe.

The Location

Shot in My Hometown: Brno

And then there is the location.

Brno will always be personal to me.

We photographed these images in the city center, surrounded by cobblestone streets and historic architecture, near the square where the local farmers market brings another layer of everyday life into the city.

I love that juxtaposition: fashion against history.

There is something incredibly beautiful about photographing a modern look against buildings and streets that have existed through generations. The stone, muted architecture and old European textures become almost neutral, which makes the clothes and especially that red tie come alive.

Coming back here and creating fashion imagery feels different from simply traveling somewhere beautiful.

This is where I come from.

Sharing these photographs lets me share a little more than an outfit. It gives me a way to show you the streets, architecture, atmosphere and visual language that were part of my world long before fashion became my career.

Maybe that’s why Brno feels like such a natural location for me creatively.

The city has character.

And the best style always does too.
